FUDforum 3.0.4RC2 is now available for download. Please test it furiously and report your experiences (good or bad) back to this forum.

Changes since the 3.0.4RC1 release include:

* Add translation for Zizaki (diq).
* More meaningful compiler error messages.
* Fix infinite loop when MySQL truncates login/alias names with non-UTF8 characters.
* Some other bug fixes.

Great job!

Sorry for being a absent from the forums lately, but I am still working on making a CodeIgniter based version of FUD, with all the bells and whistles that come with it (MVC architecture -> no need for templates -> code easier to understand/personalize).

It's quite the enterprise, though... Crying or Very Sad

Sounds interesting! Is it something we could later integrate with/ replace the current FUDforum project with? I trust it's open source and you will be able to share the code with us.

Yes, CI is absolutely FOSS. CodeIgniter is "just" a lightweight MVC framework, with which I have been working for a while. To me it's easier to use and mod than other similar products.

If I manage to get to a semi-working state I will make a new branch on the SVN so that everyone can contribute (or I can do it right away, if you believe it reasonable), and yes, I would hope to replace the current FUDforum with the new one.
