Template editor problems [message #32105]

This is in regard to 2.7.4.

When I open the template editor, the top three templates are "#index.tmpl", "#pdf.tmpl", and "#rdf.tmpl". If I click the plus next to "#index.tmpl" the page refreshes and the selection disappears from the list; but a "index.tmpl" selection appears. If I click the plus next to the new "index.tmpl" selection this new one disappears and the "#index.tmpl" selection reappears. If I click the plus next to "#pdf.tmpl" then the selection disappears altogether. It will reappear when I try to expand another template (and that template does not expand). If I click the plus next to "#rdf.tmpl" it will actually expand the selection and show me the "rdf_Charset" option. If I select this option I get "Could not open template" on an otherwise blank page. I don't think this problem is limited to only these templates. Some seem to work and others do not (they disappear).

I suspect that is because you have files that start with #, which are not part of the standard template selection.

I have not modified them. I was starting to work on a new one but had to stop before I could get started because of this problem.

Can you show me a file listing inside the tmpl directory of the theme that you are editing. Also, was this a clean install of 2.7.4, or was it an upgrade from a previous release?

I checked it on my production forum and my test forum before reporting. Both are upgraded forums; in the case of the production forum, many times upgraded. I was going to completely erase my test forum today and install 2.7.5 from scratch to see if the problem persists, but I haven't had time. Maybe tomorrow. Anyway, here is the file list from the tmpl directory of the theme I was trying to edit on my test forum (I just did a `cp -R` to create the new theme; there really should be "copy template" and "copy theme" options in the editor so that the file system doesn't have to be manipulated directly):

Yes, they are the exact same. I copied the default directory to "new_theme" and tried to edit it with the template editor. On my production forum, I don't have any extra themes or templates. Nor have I modified the default template in any way.
