I see the forum documentation mentions that there should be a Move option in the Forum Management part of the admin control panel, however, I don't see it. Is this something that needs to be enabled or am I just missing something? Thanks.

I guess an easier question is, can I just edit the category field in my forum SQL table for each forum to put them in the category I want them to belong to without any negative side effect?

Delete the forum.
Go to "Deleted Forums".
Reassign it to different cat.

There's no easy way to move between categories without moving a forum into the trash bin? It really seems like you should be able to move forums between categories without deleting and at worst just editing the cat_id should do it (atleast that's how it looks in the code).

Maybe just a matter of perception. Anyway, if you don't like it, write a patch.
