I just installed FUDforum2 from CVS and its listing it as version 1.9.8-Alpha which I know is wrong... So fix it ^_^

No, u got this all wrong. This is the final of 4 Alpha RCs. Hence it's the Alpha Beta, if u want so Cool

No it is a bug... or a typo... 1.9.8-Beta is what it should be I think or somethign like that alpha was 4 or 5 versions ago... Doesn't matter i edited core.inc and changed it to 1.9.8-CVS anyways

In perfect world core.inc would automatically be edited whenever you do a checkout. SO that the version is CVS-DATESTAMP.
But, since we do not live in a perfect world it always carries the last release version.

Honestly I don't understand the fuss about a version which is *clearly* marked as experimental. Smile The version number is probably the most unimportant thing currently on the fud2 series... Wink

SunLord HAS a point here, a beta version is NOT and alpha version. Beta come after alpha. And if the Beta version needs heeps more work, the there will be a gamma version Very Happy Laughing
