It has occurred to me that there are other actions one may wish to take against erring forum posters apart from banning them to outer darkness with much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I have seen a suggestion somewhere where someone will disemvowel users who get abusive. Since then it has occurred to me that it might be nice to be able to arrange some other action apart from banning to bring errant posters back in line. Is it possible for some such hook to be created to allow other such actions or is there one there already that I haven't seen yet?

You can add flags to users via users_opt field and then perform conditional operations based on the status of that flag.
