ok i down loaded the latest version of FUDforum and have uploaded it to 3 web servers and also on my PC, when installed on my PC i don't have any problems, all goes in well and i'm happy but................on the 3 web servers that i have tried to install it to i get the same problem.

so i ran the "phpinfo" code and it reports that the PHP version is "php version 4.3.4"

i then ran this code,

echo md5_file("install.php");
?>

and that came back with this "f3502b69e76ac0bffa9200344ca2e9b2"

i hope this info helps you solve my problem,
i used to have loang hair but now have to polish the top of my head, please help,

What version specifically did you install? When you uploaded the install.php to your servers did you upload the file as BINARY?

thanx for the fasy response,

the version i've uploaded is V2.6.0RC10.tar.tar
i also tried the zip version but for some reason winrar wouldn't open it,

i uploaded it using FlashFXP in auto mode and in ascii mode,
but not in binary mode, why? should i upload in binary?

Yes, you MUST upload install.php in binary mode if you want it to work.

ok i'm working on 56k so give me about 6 hours to upload it in binary lol j/k

nope, sorry, still the same problem,
i've now uploaded it in auto, ascii and binary modes but still no luck, Crying or Very Sad

It appears that the file was not uploaded correctly.
If you downloaded the RC11 the md5sum of install.php should've been either fe54144d6243ec4855e61bcd8b766cbe or 0a6232dfd8288cea5380947327e26c5b.

If you downloaded RC10 the md5sum should've been
eb6c67efe7ae782434c56077ed9a257b or 2c3b66934b49fbd71dc1abc9bd5426da
