I was running 2.5.2 and tried to upgrade to 2.6.8 and now all I get is:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare ssn() (previously declared in /usr/www/users/beamdriv/shindig/forum/index.php:305) in /usr/www/users/beamdriv/shindig/fdata/include/core.inc on line 106

I tried to repair the index table, but that didn't seem to help.

Any ideas here?

Did the upgrade process complete successfully or were there any errors?

It seemed like it must have bombed out in the middle somewhere.

I hit the "Authorize" button on the upgrade.php screen and it just sat there loading for seveal minutes and then re-loaded the upgrade.php and the forum was busted.

Looking at all the time stamps, not all of the files were upgraded and it looks like the SQL structure was unchanged.

Looks like the upgrade script timed out before it had a chance to complete. This is easily fixed, just run it again and it'll resume from where it has stopped.

I've run the upgrade a few times. Now I get the "Forum Disabled" message, but I can't log into the admin area. It takes my username/password and then shows me the login form again

Well, it's working now. I just had to keep hammering on the upgrade script until it finished. And I had to futz with the Globals.php a bit.

Thanks for the insight, Ilia
