Using percentage values, instead of pixel values, allows for people with higher screen-resolutions to view text more easily, since the font sizes will then scale with the base font size set in the user agent. It would probably involve massive reworking of the fudforum template, since the calculated font size is inherited. I was able to achieve satisfactory results by editing only the style sheet, but my setup is a little hackish.

This can be done by modifying the forum.css.tmpl by anyone who wants to. I personally have no problem with default font sizes and I use a 1280x1024 resolution, which is probably larger then that used by most people. So, for majority of people font sizes should not be an issue, for those for whom it is an issue forum is flexible enough to allow them to make the change...
