I have been inside the .css files and attempting to change the forum background to a .jpg

I'm probably screwing up because I don't have the .jpg in the correct directory.

also, is there a upload section for such issues or ?

thank you for the help in advance

The file manager can be used to add/remove files & directories from any of the forum's directories. So if you want to add a jpeg image that a tool most appropriate for the job

P.S. You should modify the forum.css.tmpl & then recompile the theme, because the forum.css is a compiled file, meaning that once you run upgrade script or rebuild it any changed to it will be lost.

Sorry, some days are slower than others..........

Just to be certain
I uploaded to this directory
/forum/theme/default/images
then went to template edit/forum.css.tmpl/forum_background
I then editted background: #FFFFFF:
to background: boxmarble.jpg;

save the change and went to theme manager and clicked rebuild.

No change at all. I still have a pristine white background. What did I do wrong?

Confused

Are you absolutely sure that the css you've entered is valid?
If you are view html source of any of the forum's page at the top there should be a link to forum.css. Access that file and see if the changes you've made went in.
