I traced down my problems with uploading avatars...

In the avatar upload code, you should copy the avatar file to the fudforum data dir(however you do that with file uploads), and then use getimagesize() on it. Otherwise, getimagesize() will be used in a directory outside of my allowed directories(safe mode is enabled), and it will fail because of this.

Fixed in CVS.

Replace your register.php.t with the one in the URL below and rebuild the theme. It'll fix this bug as well as the avatar deletion bug.
