Hello,

I'm trying intall forum 2-5-2, but when I run the file index.php, I obtain the following error:

Parse error: parse error in /home/html/forum/forum/install.php on line 1451

Anyone knows where could be the problem ?

Hello,

I've made some changes, and I've try it again.
I've a new error message now, similar to the last one:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '' (ASCII=6) state=1 in /home/html/forum/forum/install.php on line 33707

Parse error: parse error in /home/html/forum/forum/install.php on line 33707

In the line 33707 of the install file, there is the following:

register_flat_view: Õ¹¿ªä¯ÀÀ

I will be very pleased, if someone could help me.
Thanks very much

You've got a corrupted installer, download a new one and make sure your decompression program did not modify it.

Which language are you trying to use?

thanks phottos,

I have download again the file, and I'm still having problems.

I have 4.1.2 php version. According your userguide page, I should have 4.0.3+, but I see in the code of the install file, that the minimum required is 4.2.0. Perhaps this is my problem

wich one is the minimum required version ?

Hi there,

i've got the same error.

i've tried to download and install several versions and several archive types, every time when i'm trying to start install.php on my local WAMPP-Server the errors appear.

This one is an error with the version 2-5-1.zip (with zlib compression)

i've got the same errors which are listed above with the newest version.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '@' in D:\xampp\htdocs\fudforum\install.php on line 1179

FUDforum requires PHP 4.2.3.

If the zip archive does not work (some unzip programs seems to mess the file up) download the tar.gz archive.
