Hello,

I have just installed this software on a windows 2000 machine rinning MySql and PHP 4.3.

The forums seem to work fine except when I attempt to upload files. The forum shows the file link and correct size but the file does not exist in the data directory. I get the following error in the log:

2003-10-07-17-45-32 [ERR] unable to move uploaded file

My config is as follows:

System Configuration
PHP built On: Windows NT stp818610 5.0 build 2195
Database Version: 4.0.15-max-debug
PHP Version: 4.3.3
Web Server: Apache/1.3.28 (Win32)
WebServer to PHP interface: cgi-fcgi
Forum Version: 2.5.1
Relavent PHP Settings: Safe Mode: OFF
Open basedir: none
Display Errors: ON
File Uploads: ON
Magic Quotes: ON
Register Globals: OFF
Output Buffering: OFF
Disabled Functions: none
PSpell Support: No

I have PHP enabled to upload, but it does not seem to work. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Thank you

The temporary directory is C:\PHP\tempfiles and the permanent directory is C:\apache\www\fudforum\files

Have you tried seeing if uploading file attachments via PHP outside of the forum works?

I am unfamiliar with PHP, how would I upload with PHP outside of the forum?

I am thinking I may have a permissions problem. How do I allow write access to a directory on apache running windows 2000?

I have tried the upload script they have provided and I cannot ge a file to load. I suspect I may have problems with my permissions?

How do I endow write permissions with Apache on windows?

No idea sorry Sad I don't use windows...

You may want to ask in #php channel of freenode or search on google... Or just read up on win32 permission system.

More importantly make sure that file uploads are enabled in your PHP.
