Using FUDforum 2.5.3RC3, when a new user registers and receives his email, the URL sent does not contain the confirmation key. It looks like:

Thank you for registering,
To activate your account please go to the URL below:

Once your account is activated you will be logged into the forum and
redirected to the main page of the forum.

I've checked the database and there is an entry for the new user in fud23_users and it contains a conf_key.

Thank you,

Jason

I downloaded the 2.5.3 stable upgrade script to see if that would fix my problems. Can't tell yet. When I try to log out I get:

Parse error: parse error in /var/www/html/forum/theme/default/login.php on line 674

No love. I deleted my session cookie and reloaded the page. I was no longer logged in and could register as a new user. Confirmation email still is missing the key.

Perhaps I should completely reinstall? If so, can I still keep all my data, themes, etc?

Thanks,

Jason

Just tried 2.6.0RC1 and when running upgrade.php I got:

MySQL Error: #1075 (Incorrect table definition; There can only be one auto column and it must be defined as a key): ALTER TABLE fud23_thread_view DROP INDEX forum_id

Upgraded to RC2 which fixed the ALTER Table.
Added a missing \ needed to escape a single quote in login.php.

When I register my confirmation email is still missing the confirmation key in the URL.

Any ideas???

Thank you,

Jason

You had to fix login.php? Are you using a custom theme, that should not happen.

Yes, I had to fix login.php. I'm not sure if we're using a custom theme or not. Somebody else set this up. But, I did have to fix:

/var/www/html/forum/theme/default/login.php.

On line 574, I had to add escape the single quote in "you're" otherwise I got a parse error.

That looks like the default theme, however, "you're" is not found in any of the msg files in 2.6.0.

Would it be possible to get temporary access to your forum so that I could see the situation for myself?
