I've tried but I just don't understand how to set-up group permissions. Here's what I'm trying to achieve.

Two forums: one for registered users and one for a small group of invited registered users.
Both forums should be hidden to people who are not logged in.
Only the first forum should be visible to people who are not a member of the invited group.

I have made the registered user forum not visible to anonymous.
I have made the invited forum not visible to anonymous and registered.

I have tried to update the permissions of the FORUM: group associated with the invited forum but I get the strange error: "You must provide a name for your new group".

If I create a new group to control the invited forum and set permissions to visible, it still does make the forum appear to a group member.

Help!

Keith.

I think you may be using incorrect group manager. Given your intent the group manager linked from the forum's front page is the one you should be using.

1. After I edit a new group (named "1"), and try removing Visibile feature from it and pull 'Update', there it comes:

You must provide a name for your new group.

Using FUDforum 2.6.0RC8.
And Group name disappears from the page below Sad
But before clicking on Update, it was present on the page.

2. How can I get this. I need to specify a small group even within Registered users, who are the only people to use my forum.

But the two main groups are: Registered users and Anonymous ones. How do I disable access to all registered users except those I provide for each forum?

Please help me. Thanks in advance.

The only reason I need a Leader is to achive point 2.

What can you tell me about 2.? (creating a special group among Registered users) to use just one of my forums? Maybe, another way?

Thanks for quick reply.
