i have noticed the same behaviour on both the forum i am building on my site and also this support forum so maybe it is expected behaviour
i am on a dialup ( as are basicaly all of the people who use my site ) ... when i log off the internet and then log back on later; if i want to get on to the forum ( this one or the one on my site) i have to sign in again
i am a member of a development forum at webdeveloper.com which is a vbulletin i think and i usually dont have to relogin there ... the site just recognises me .... thats the way i want it on my site. can i get this functionality with FUDforum ?

The problem is happening on this very forum as well, because I have not yet upgraded the cookies.inc.t file, which contains the fix.
