Cached HTML tag? [message #15251]

In one of the early forum posts I made, I accidentally inserted a space inside of a URL tag. I posted the message, and later edited the message to fix the tag.

However, on every subsequent post I have made where I type the same URL, it still has the space inside of it when I have not inserted a space. By this I mean the text displayed has a space, but the URL is correct, and clicking on it takes you to the right place.

The original, incorrect name of the site must be being cached somewhere. Do you know where that is, and how I can fix it?

Are you sure that its not your browser itself that may be doing it? When I type text into a form input field that I have filled in before, my browser automatically shows me the previous text I had typed in and I can easily select that and have the browser auto type that in for me.

Sorry for the late reply.

I have our forum linked to a mailing list, and the signature of the mailing list always looks like this:

<a href="http://naalukettu.net/mailman/listinfo/naalukettu_naalukettu.net" target="_blank"> http://naalukettu.net/mailman/listinfo/naalukettu_naalukettu .net</a><br />

There is always a space in "naalukettu_naalukettu .net" but the html href is always correct.

The first time typed the url in a forum message, I don't remember if it was in a URL tag or not, but I accidentally typed the space in the address. I went back and edited the message, but every subsequent posting of the address inserts a space.

I'm using mozilla, and it doesn't do this auto-complete thing, but as I mention in the previous message, messages from mailing lists include this space when they show up in the forum.

I hope I'm being clear enough ... The bottom part of the mailing list message is just like any other mailing list, the address is just plain text like this:

http://naalukettu.net/mailman/listinfo/naalukettu_naalukettu.net

The forum inserts a space when creating the tag.

That doesn't sound right. If I type

http://naalukettu.net/mailman/listinfo/naalukettu_naalukettu.net

The forum will create the html code

Why does it insert a space in what I type, but the href is still correct? How can I avoid this?

You can avoid the problem by increasing the wordwrap limit via global control panel. The URL is not wrapped because it was it'd break the URL, however there is no harm is wrapping the description of the URL.
