When using FUDForum 2.7.7 with Postgres 8.25, there is an issue with the default category view, which is always "compact", no matter what is configured.
This is on Ubuntu 7.04, using Apache 2.2.4 with mod-php5 5.2.3. Exactly the same installation is working perfectly with MySQL.

Can you please navigate to "Admin Control Panel" -> "Error Log Viewer" and check if you see any PostgreSQL related errors?
