Hello everyone,
I'm trying to figure out the permissions settings and I'm a bit confused.
Basically I want to have three groups of users with the same settings for every group.
Anonymous: read, search, vote on polls
Registered: a whole bunch of things but not everything
Admin: everything
So what are the steps to doing that? I'm not quite understanding how user permissions interact with group permissions and inheriting permissions.
Can anyone clarify?
James.

You can use two interfaces to modify the permissions for a forum or group of forums. The User-land groups manager and the admin-land groups manager. They are discussed respectively below.
The 'Group(s) Manager' is linked from the main page. It will let you modify registered and anonymous access for specific forums. Use the edit link to the right of each user for the forums in question.
The 'Groups Manager' is available from the control panel under 'User Management'. Here you can create a new group and have it control the necessary forums you want with all of the permissions set. Then add people to it you want to give admin rights to. You can also add Leaders to this group if you want others to have the ability to add other people to this admin group.
