The guys at Forum Software reviewed FUDfourm 2.8.0 and gave it their forum of the month award. We don't necessaryly agree with all their findings, but they gave FUDforum much better ratings than before. For example, they now agree that it's easy to install FUDforum. However, they still claim that FUDforum doesn't have "Friendly URLs" (I guess we can excuse them for not seeing the PATH_INFO theme). Overall we are pleased with the review and the fact that they recognise the effort we are puting into making FUDforum better.

Best regards.

I've just noticed that the review now states that FUDforum offers "Friendly URLs". Good progress! So, maybe we should point out some of the other problems as well (a review of the review, if you will):

* Export private messages: FUDforum doesn't show the "Download Message Dump" link if there is nothing to export. So, that possibly explains why they've missed it.

* Guest Posting: This feature is used on this very site, look at the test forum.

* This software respects W3C Norms. Our XHMTL, CSS and RSS feeds validate. Check it yourself.

* Languages: PHP5 should be added (maybe we should drop PHP4 support altogether, but that's a different discussion).

There are a couple smaller issues as well. However, if they can fix the above, the review will be pretty spot on.

Best regards.

Frank
