Hi, I'm new to FUDforum.

I'd like to have a certain member group on my forum that has the ability to create Topics that're only visible to others in the same member group. When you create the topic it might have a menu allowing you to select "Visibility: Everyone" or "Only members of my member group" or something.

Does anyone know how this would be accomplished with FUDforum?

Thanks in advance!

Assign a group leader with permissions to assign individuals to that group. In actuality you would have 2 groups, there is a more detailed explanation around here somewhere.

I will try and find it but I need sleep 1st.

The best way to solve that is to jump in and get wet!

Heck I'm a "noob" myself, actually I consider myself to be a "Rank amateur", a self taught one at that! But back to your question, 1st lets take the "it might have a menu" portion of it out of the equation cause it ain't gonna happen unless you or someone else can code it , at least not the way you asked the question.

You will have to rely on the Admin "Groups Manager" and the user land "Group(s) Manager" for your purposes. I did not find a ready made answer I felt does justice to your question so I am writing one. If you are an admin or a wanna be admin look around and read a bit I should have a complete answer soon.

I found another old post which has some information that may be useful to you as well. Remember FUDforum admins are a unique breed in the forum world so we must help each other.
