I think the poster asking if fud has a setting to "top-post" replies.

ie: The most recent reply winds up first, and older replies appear below, and the start of the topic is all the way on the bottom.

There are some situations where the most recent status is the most relevant information, and constantly checking threads and having to scroll to the bottom to see the current status is sub-optimal. (ie: an in-house tech support case tracking forum)

There are a few ways to quickly determine if there were replies to topic(s) you are concerned about. First and foremost being the new topic (forum subscription) or reply (topic subscription) notification. Then you have the 'unread' message functionality allowing you to see new messages in a particular forum, or entire forum or even just for topics/forums you are subscribed to. Then there is the message navigator allowing you to see messages posted during a particular date range.
