For the life of me, I cannot find where the css value is for the background color of the category row. Everything else is there. Do you know the row I am talking about? On my site, it is a very light (baby) blue.

Here's my board: http://seanwilson.org/forum/index.php?S=aa6d3ca33ac3088aa7809dc7077f12e8&am p;SQ=18410b8324c20a0cfe072504601f4331

It's the row that begins "Wittgenstein and Philosophy"

I notice that this message here seems not to have the color of that row as well: http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=118230&goto=159113& ;#msg_159113

I'm doing some interior decorating and would appreciate the find. Thanks once again for your assistance!

It's done with gradient images. Look at tableHeaderbg.png and tableHeaderbg2.png.

You will find a better description of gradient images here and a link to a tutor http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=159644&&srch=gra dient+images#msg_159644

You might also consider upgrading to v3.0 ....... I think you will like it! (Eventually it will be necessary) so why wait if you are already decorating.

NOTE: Remember to save your header.

.... wow. There is a version 3? You know, I never installed the old one; I had someone do it for me. Is it hard to upgrade? Is there something I could read about how to upgrade?

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION: I won't lose any of my board's existing messages and categories and organization, correct? And there is nothing in 3 that will mess up my email piping system? Everything is running smoothly; I could not stand it if there were some mail issues.

Will I be ok?

(Happy Turkey eating, for all those in the States.)

See Upgrading.

PS: Good administrators always set-up a test forum to test upgrades and new settings work before they apply it to their production sites.

Do you want the Blue Pill or the Red Pill?

1. Yes there is a version 3.0.0 (it is the most advanced version yet!) http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=118909&start=0&
2. Yes I knew that you did not install the old one, and no the upgrade is not difficult at all (In most cases).
3. Most everything you need to know is on this forum.
4. Loss of data, organization etc. cannot be guaranteed however if you make and backup to a secure location your entire forum as is it can easily be reinstalled using your current version along with your saved backup.
5. Since I know little about e-mail piping I can't say but I doubt it.
6. You will be ok, as long as you deal with it in a reasonable manner.
7. As for you being OK, Well lets just say I consulted the oracle who said that naudefj and I along with others will be ok but we are pretty sure you are screwed! (just joking).

Bottom line is that v3.0 is a transitional version from the old standards to the new!
