Okay, now the Fatal Error has stopped, but I'm now getting the error "Please make sure that the intaller has permission to write to the current directory (/home/virtual/site26/fst/var/www/forum)".
I've tried as many reasonable chmod combinations I could think of and still get that error.
EDIT: Never mind, just had to chmod my fudforum_archive file.
Thanks for the quick responses with the help
EDIT 2: Okay, I'm getting another error. This time its: Couldn't open /home/virtual/site26/fst/var/www/forum/data/cache/.htaccess for write
Is there a way to fix this? Is there a distribution of FUD forum that does NOT use the installer, and I just have to upload files?

FUDforum installation is always performed by the installer.
You can fix the permissions problem by making sure the webserver can write to the /home/virtual/site26/fst/var/www/forum/data/cache/ directory.

it should be owned by apache, which makes the error you are seeing so strange, since apache should have permissions to create the file.
