hi,
using a vanilla install of 2.6.0 i can't seem to get a template set (foo_path_info) derived from path_info to work. when i activate it no links in the forum does anything. the original path_info works fine though.
also, when i try the template editor with either of them and my preferred language only the header.tmpl is listed for editing. the "default" (non path_info) set is fine though.

To enable PATH_INFO you need to do 2 things.
1) enable PATH_INFO in the admin control panel.
2) Create a new theme based on path_info template set and make it default.

still no luck, made a new install today...
1 install fresh
2 change path_info option to "Yes"
3 edit "default" to use "path_info"
4 test forum - works great
5 "Create template set" foo_path_info with the supplied "path_info" as "Base Template Set:"
6 edit "default" to use "foo_path_info"
7 rebuild theme
8 test forum - the main page comes up but no links in the user bar (Members, Search, FAQ etc.) har effect, no error, just the same main page as before.
forum title links however, bring up an error page saying "You've followed an invalid link, please notify the webmaster"
strange thing i note about the link to the "Test forum" on the home page of an freshly installed FUDforum: when i use the normal path_info set, the link to it is (and wich works):
http://www.ikk.nu/FUDforum2/index.php/f/1/2/83e807c4b50a80a5d9a088a6dbbe1d1 f/?SQ=9cf0fa13c84ffd57b7f3eb7818964bc3
and when i switch to my derived foo_path_info set, the link to it is (wich doesn't work and generates the error):
http://www.ikk.nu/FUDforum2/index.php/f/1/rid=2&S=83e807c4b50a80a5d9a08 8a6dbbe1d1f&SQ=9cf0fa13c84ffd57b7f3eb7818964bc3
can ANYBODY confirm this?
and yes, while using foo_path_info and i copy the same link that works above, into the browser url window, gets me to the right location, so my conclusion is that somehow it's just the links that are generated that are erroneous.
---
for the record, i just made sure that this procedure works 100% in version 2.52, by using a clean install and the above procedure. neither the problem of editing the templates of the "path_info" kind exists in 2.52...
