Two odd things happen when you delete a user. To show what I mean, do this:
1. Add a new forum.
2. Register as a new user.
3. Post something to the forum created in Step 1, as this user.
4. Now, as an administrator, delete the user you just created.
Now look at the message counts for the forum. When the user was deleted, the one message from Step 3 gets deleted, as expected. However, the message counts still say "messages: 1, topics: 1". Also, the "Last message" time is now "Wed, 31 December 1969".
Actually, I consider the fact that messages get deleted when the user is removed to be inconvenient. I can understand why it has to be this way, though. But what if, instead of deleting the messages, you assigned them to a dummy user, like one called "Deleted User"?
At the very least, I think that the confirmation page should say how many posts the user has made, and remind the administrator that deleting the user will also delete the posts.

When the user is deleted their messages are not removed, instead they are assigned to the "anonymous user". I'll review the problem, but I suspect it maybe as simple as improper calculation of the last post date on the forum list page.
