Hi,

Just a few more questions we haven't been able to find a definitive answer to:

1)Is there a way to incorporate a "Mark Read" option?
2)If so, is that data stored on the server or on the client?
3)Is there a function that highlights unread messages in tree view?

1. It's an existing forum feature.
2. On the server, like with any other forum.
3. Yes.

PS: You should really install the software and test it for yourself.

Thanks for your reply.

1) We have installed the software, but are obviously new at this. We haven't been able to find a Mark Read feature in the Admin Control Panel or as a user. We may just be missing it.

We do see the Unread Messages button, but this is a different feature than what we're looking for.

2) Thanks, our previous (terrible) forum software unfortunately relied on the client, which is why I asked.

3) Sorry, this was an oversight.

W.r.t. question 1:

Messages & forums will be marked as "read" as users visit them and icon colours will change accordingly.
Special icons will also appear next to topics with new unread messages that will allow users to jump to the new posts since their last visit.
Also note the "[ Mark all messages read ]" on the index page and "[ Mark all unread forum messages read ]" on all the forum pages.
