Hello,

First i would like to give a big thanks to you to make this great software..
well, I'm familiar with fud forum since many days and get to know about it from lxcenter, a Indian company which use your forum software..
after using i decided to use it as my forum platform also..
but i get stopped in the installation..on open_basedir restriction..

index.php?t=getfile&id=6197&private=0

is there any way to fix or bypass this?
Regards.

Sorry for the delay. I assure you we are not sleeping all the time. Wink

The install script tries to match the given paths against the set open_basedir restrictions before actually starting to copy the files. I think the problem could be that in your open_basedir settings there appear to be two slashes between www and ...com, in the given paths there is only slash. Could you please check that?

This is not really a FUDforum problem. Your PHP setup prevents the installer from opening and writing to files.

Your choices:

1. Ask the hosting provider to relax the open_basedir setting in php.ini
2. Install FUDforum from command line.
3. Move to another host.

Usually FUDforum should also work on shared hosting services that have open_basedir restrictions set. I already installed it successfully in such environments. Like I said I think they just made a small mistake (an extra slash) with the open_basedir setting. Because of this the check of the paths fails.

It's possible that you can install the forum after adding the extra slash from open_basedir setting to the two paths. But I am not sure that it will work.
