When my members post a reply to a topic, the whole topic is moved to the bottom of the topics list. How do I keep my topic lists from moving when someone replys, or posts to a topic?

To the bottom? You mean it bubbles up to the top of the list?

No, I have a work related site with all 50 states listed in alphabetical order as topics. When someone posts information to say Arizona, the Arizona topic, which is in alphabetical order, is pushed to the bottom of the topics list, out of order. I need to know how to stop this from happening, and how to put Arizona back where it belongs. Hopefully "WITH" the reply that was sent in.

Okay now it bubbled to the top of the list, after I did a consistency check. But I would still like for my topics to stay where I arranged them, in alphabetical order.

You can adjust the sort order in thread.php.t

Now if I were a whiz at this, I probably wouldn't even be talking to you. Can you clarify that for us dummies?

You need to change the ORDER BY on the SELECT statement. If you cannot do that, I recommend you rather hire someone to do it for you.
