Hello,

I did a search but was looking for some up-to-date info.

Question: How to effectively stop users from signing up with Proxies?
Is there a plug-in available?

I tried IP banning some of them, but its (perhaps) not straightforward

Any tips?

Thanks Smile

Try upgrading to 3.0.4. That should stop them in their tracks.

PS: If you have a list of bad proxies, it should be quite easy to create such a plug-in yourself.

Upgraded the forum to 3.04 Shocked

Worked first time Very Happy

(note, the upgrades always changes my perms to 777 which my host doesn't allow, it would be nice to pre-order what perms the upgrade gives)

Anyway,

On the subject of proxies, how does the upgrade block them? Confused

Can't you IP filter them?
