I have gotten FUDForum up and running, configured for my needs.
I could never figure out how to disable the requirement of an email address for a user, so I just filled them in with garbage info, just so I could create my users' accounts. No problem.
Now, however, I think it might be useful to have FUDForum send out an email message to my users when I add a new post instead of me texting them, so I'm trying to find the place where I tell FUDForum how to hook up to email.
Normally, when software needs to send email, I have to provide the IP address of the server, the port (normally 25 or 587), username and password.
I cannot find where to provide this in the admin panels. What am I missing?
Oh, if it matters, I'm using FUDforum 3.0.4
