How can announcements be made to appear for anonymous users and disappear upon logging in?

Goal: When users first come to the forum, they should see the announcement that explains it's a special-purpose forum for community members. Once a member logs in, that announcement should no longer be presented.

Looked for such an option in Announcement Manager, Category Manager, Group Manager, User Manager, etc. Hoped to find a option to view announcements that I could apply only to anonymous users. Alternatively, an option in Announcement Manager could specify which groups should see it.* Did I overlook it?

* Added later: Announcement Manager can set which content groups (forums) can see the announcement -- but not user groups, like Anonymous or Registered, which is what's wanted.
