No, for there is no "javascript".

In my experience, it has always been sloppy thinkers (and sloppy
programmers) to accuse others of being "anal retentive" when they are asking
for accuracy (a term that is based on Freud's long-disproved psychological
theory, yet still lives on among the general population). Often the same
individuals that cannot help to use scatological references when describing
or addressing their opponents or situations.
IOW: It figures.

You mean like when people tell you that you're full of s**t?
Here's a news flash for you, PointedHead: that's *not* a sign of sloppy
thinking.

Oracle _Corporation_ now owns the _JavaScript_ trademark because Sun
Microsystems, Inc., is now their wholly owned subsidiary. Sun previously
owned the trademark in order to settle a dispute between Netscape
Corporation, whose Brendan Eich invented the JavaScript programming language
(formerly LiveScript, renamed only for marketing purposes), and Sun who
already owned the "Java" trademark. That is also why Microsoft named their
JavaScript clone JScript shortly after.
However, in the grown-up world where you do not live in, it does not matter
who owns the _JavaScript_ trademark for the fact that there is no
_javascript_ _language_, and that there are different and differing
implementations of an extensible language standard, ECMAScript, along with
different and different implementations of DOM interfaces, instead. Had you
followed my research, you would have at least known that.
Since you have not answered my question about your use of the registered
sux.com domain, and there is no mailbox with that address, I have to assume
that you do not have permission to use it (whereas network abuse is rather
typical for aioe.org users), and that pseudo-sub-level domain of yours has
been added to my killfile.

Yep, and the fact that it is a tradmark means that it exists by definition.

I don't know if you are just being sarcastic or if you do not realize that
there is a difference in what is trademarked and generally accepted as the
correct name JavaScript, and the same sequence of letters with other
variations of case. Most of this thread has deteriorated into something
other than what is useful and productive. I don't even know why I waste my
time reading such posts.

Yeah, me too.
BTW, minor, or even semi-major, changes to a trademark are still fodder
for law suits, as in Nissan Motors against Nissan Comuter, named after
founder and president Uzi Nissan and started when Nissan Motors called
it's product Datsun.
