If you are considering GWT and looking for easy saving/retrieving java
domain objects, please consider the persistence engine from www.DataStoreGwt.com
..

It is a persistence engine enabling the developer to save the java
domain object graph in just one-line of client code. Besides, the
developer can begin, commit or rollback a transaction, all from client-
side code. DataStoreGwt also provides for object level locking for
granular concurrency.

What does this have to do with PHP? Go away, spammer. Any product
which has to be spammed to sell must be a piece of crap.
