Hello Everybody,

I own an online ecommerce (little store).

My site is running on a VPS but I have some problems.

Some customers told me that in some moments our site is very slow. In
other moments it is ok.

I would like to monitor the performance of my site during the whole day
and have a daily report.

Do you know some service not too expensive?

Or there is a way to make a php script I can run from an other site to
calculate vps performance?

thank you!

1. Learn PHP. http://www.php.net is a good starting point.
2. Write a script.

Alternatively:

1. Hire someone to do it for you.

Nope. But you won't find free consulting here. We help people who help
themselves. If you have specific PHP questions, great.

P.S. No, I'm not available for hire, so I'm not advertising.

My question would be "does anyone know some php class that...".

Yes, he is a troll, and he'll keep right on as long as someone keeps the
subject alive. He's ego-centric, demeaning, condescending, ignorant of
social skills and feels like a powerless twit or he wouldn't try to derive
power from others the way he does. He's best ignored; regardless of what he
says.
This kind of post will usually result in his calling the poster the troll
instead in his fit of powerlessness but he only has as much power as people
give him.

Sorry, Twayne, you're the only troll around here. You never have

I did. Please tell me what this question has to do with PHP.

But you can't, can you? So you'll just go back to your third-grade name
calling like you always do.

LOL! Nothing like being proven right by the troll itself!

Sooo... back to the topic then! :)

Honestly, there may be several possible causes why your server is
slow. Creating a PHP script to test the performance won't show you WHY
it is slow. Performance can be crippled by low memory/cpu, bad HTML,
too much (large) images, too much Javascript on the page.

Kind regards,
Mathew

Or even something else completely beyond his control - like another site
on the same server gobbling up resources.

However, I don't argue that detecting the slowdown is the first order of
business.
