I'm using ldap_modify with open ldap version 2.3.5
I'm running into a problem where upon changing a
character of a user from an 'o' to an umlaut o,
it produces "invalid syntax."
I can change the name using characters from
the latin alphabet, but when I include any
character outside that alphabet, I get invalid
syntax.
It isn't tied to php as the string is utf-8,
which I checked for.
So I am wondering if someone has ran into this
problem before? For the session I specify the
use of LDAP V3 protocol(which mandates UTF8 support).
Thus, I think it is tied to the configuration
of the open ldap server. Any idea what I should
look for in terms of configuration?
Thanks in advance.
