I normally use something like this:

header('Expires: ' . gmdate('D, d M Y H:i:s', time()-86400*365*10) . '
GMT');
header('Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate,
post-check=0, pre-check=0');
header('Pragma: no-cache');

If I recall correctly it's the "Pragma" header the one that's designed
for proxies but I'd say there's no need to cache the password checking
page not even in browsers.
