Sorry if this the wrong group to post this.

I'm trying to add eAccelerator to a Mac OS X server running snow leopard
10.6.8. It's a stock server and never updated with anything other than
the official Apple updates.

The problem is that after compilation is done and I do a 'make test' it
tells me that the version that was compiled is for PHP 5.3.1 and I
should recompile for the server's PHP version 5.3.6.

I looked on the system and I couldn't find a second installation of PHP
that the compiler is picking up and compiling against.

Anybody familiar with this? what should I look for when
configuring/compiling in order to find this problematic version 5.3.1
that the compiler seems to find but I can't?

wet finger stabbed in the dark says your headers libraries and
development environment is not to te same release as your installed
running PHP is.

I've has similar when compiling on Linux when I have upgraded the core
runtime code, but not the development environment. More in my case GTK
libraries than PHP, but the principle is the same.

BUT its a LONG time since I compiled anything on a MAC...and beyond the
PDF libraries I have never compiled anything for PHP..
