Someone just complained to me that FUDforum would not let her join using her real first name as a user name, because it is too short. I looked at the control panel and found no setting for this. Is there a way I can let users have short user names.

These settings are hardcoded, but the values are fairly liberal.

Minimum password length: 6 chars
Minimum login length: 4 chars
Minimum "real name" length: 2 chars.

If you want to edit these values modify the register_form_check() function, inside register.php.t
