hi, i ran my personal forum for some time in 2.4. i just found a hosting facility and moved my website over there. i installed 2.6 and all is well. i exported 2.4 db and tried to import it via the admin util, got this:

what's the issue here? after this, the forum is all toast and i have to reinstall again. tried a few times already. can i go straight from 2.4 -> 2.6? is there a process that i'm missing?
also, the table prefix, does that have to be the same for the old and new tables? please help!

You cannot import a 2.4 forum datadump into 2.6 forum. The datadump can only be imported into the same version of the forum.

there does not seem to be a version 2.4 download... so maybe i've mistaken. however, i've already changed over my hosting dns so my old forum no longer works. which file on the filesystem can i check to get an accurate version # of my old forum? perhaps it's in the db? which table/column can i check?

There is no version 2.4 to download because there was never a version 2.4. There was 2.3.9 after which we moved to 2.5.
