I think I am, but obviously I can't be sure that I know what you are
referring to. But I am having a hard time imagining what history would
alter my current opinion. I would not mind (indeed I'd join in with)
fierce criticism of bad behaviour like racist remarks, but I'd do that
at the time. What is currently being criticised seems to me to be right
down the middle of internet annoyances: he's got an incorrect sense of
what he knows, he asks questions that he should have already learned the
answers to, and he can get angry and rude when that's pointed out. All
these suggest that leaving him alone is a better strategy than baiting
him.
As an aside, I try to answer questions based on the value of the answer.
If I think I can add something, I do, even if the specific poster asking
the question is a troll or some otherwise annoying poster. I say this
only to explain why I've answered someone I am suggesting might be best
ignored -- I mean best ignored unless the reply has it's own value.

Yes, that's annoying, but even the silliest questions can invite answers
that might be useful to others. If not, or you prefer to consider only
the poster you are answering, you can just ignore them.

Not if trying to tie knots is his hobby. Lots of people have silly
hobbies at which they will never be much good. What's bothered me (and

If you only know him from web authoring groups, I can understand your
point of view. However, RtS has been posting to Usenet for, what, nearly
two decades, and it is a rare case if you find a reply from him that is
not rude in some way or another.
He frequents/ed trucking groups for quite awhile; kook groups; general
interest groups; and more. He has claimed to collect child pornography; he
disses cops all the time; he's clueless about copyright law; he gloated
when his hardworking parents died and left him a seven-figure inheritance

own award back in the last century.

So it's possible that he wanted to exclude the part of code that is
responsible for this 'A'-'Z', that is currently not working.
When development of this 'A'-'Z' part is finished (15 years?), he will
only have to uncomment the include statement......

With a little javascrpt, you see it when you click on a link.
I use php include to change what you see.
