Its been a bit quite concerning the further development of Fudforum. I just noticed that PHP 7 seems to be coming with some severe changes. Also "deprecated" functions in PHP 5 will be finally removed.
So is there any work ongoing to get along with these changes ?

I still need FUDforum for my sites and will probably fix whatever have to be fixed. When will PHP 7 be released? Do you kow what functions they've deprecated?

There is certainly some time - PHP7 release candidate is scheduled for October (https://wiki.php.net/rfc/php7timeline).

But one day will be the day ... and it would be important to know well in advance whether there are basic problems, as I´m myself not really capable to fix such kind of things.

We just got notified that our domain will be updated to PHP 5.6 this month. 5.3 and 5.4 have reached EOL.

Our host migrated us from 5.3.29 to 5.5.26 a couple of weeks ago. Of course my test box has 5.6 so I wasn't too concerned. Our host gives us the choice of what PHP version we want to be at. Unless the version is at the EOL we usually have 3 choices. I suspect I'll be good for another 2-3 years.
