Hi,
Somehow the thread order on my forum has become completely messed up. I'd taken a backup, then ran the maintenance functions and then it was gone.
Tried restoring the backup - no change
Tried a full reinstall - no change
I managed to get the backup to work happily in a VM locally, so completely wiped everything on the hosting and followed exactly the same steps I did with the VM and it was just the same, all out of order.
It seems there's a cache somewhere of the thread order (I did find a post here detailing a similar problem which hinted at a fix but can't find it again)
What happens now is stickies appear anywhere they feel like and the threads aren't ordered by date properly. I've tried editing posts, stickying them, unstickying them, same with announcements and "make the topic appear at the top" (see pic attached)
The odd thing is, a backup of the live forum works fine in the VM, which makes no sense to me at all. Surely a restore should overwrite everything and not change the thread order?
Any ideas?
