I ran a datadump that usually takes a couple of minutes now ending up taking only a second to run. The log file shows it's not picking up any DATA_DIR files of any kind. Backing up the database tables looks good though. I suspect this could be a bug with 3.0.9 since this was working good in 3.0.8.

Backup progress
Backup forum files:
... backup DATA_DIR/ (0 MB)
... backup WWW_ROOT_DISK/images/ (0.02 MB)
... backup WWW_ROOT_DISK/adm/ (0.54 MB)
Backup database tables:
... dump table fud30_action_log (55 rows)
... dump table fud30_ann_forums (0 rows)
... dump table fud30_announce (0 rows)
... dump table fud30_attach (3046 rows)
... dump table fud30_avatar (39 rows)

Permissions in the data directory look like this.

We changed one line in version 3.0.9. See "The each() function is deprecated in PHP 7.2" at
https://sourceforge.net/p/fudforum/code/6141/tree//trunk/install/www_root/a dm/admdump.php?diff=51a609cd5fcbc9453342c4e5:6140

Please try to reverse it and see if it helps.

Thanks Frank I will give that a try. So right now I'm on PHP 5.6. I have the choice to go to PHP 7.2, the latest and greatest.

That might be the better way to go.

The depreciating each() function was it. Upgrading to the latest PHP version did it! Datadumps are now working.

FUDforum: 3.0.9
PHP: 7.2.5

Phew! I was about to reinstall the forum and came across this. I reproduced the same issue. Upgrading to the latest PHP also fixed it. Nearly lost a lot of forum data! Thank you!

Ok I'm not sure if this relates to this issue but it mentions the foreach() function. I came across this in httpd-error.log and haven't been able to reproduce the error so far.

PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/local/www/apache24/data/theme/default/post.php on line 1115

The conversion from each() to foreach() is causing a lot of problems for us.
I'm hoping to get it all sorted out before the next release.
