I'm at step 2 of the install, and am getting this error, in spite of the fact that a valid user with admin access was entered:

Could not open the database you've specified, SQL Reason: Access denied for user: '@69.6.243.2' to database 'fud'

That's a problem with your MySQL permissions. You need to make sure that your username can access the 'fud' database from the 69.6.243.2 IP.

Oh, dear. In the user box, I entered the user that created the database...

Well, sometimes the user/password is not enough since MySQL also validates the domain name.
