Hello,

I have a problem when i post a url.
http://www.google.com gives me http://myfudforumpath/http&?sessionid=f4698b87afb3ae4cbd426af55c893c9b#58;//www.google.com
It seems to work on the egroupware demo site.

I use the same (and last) version: 1.0.0.005.

Thanks

I don't have such problems.

But if I look at your link and see "myfudforumpath" then I would suggest you should prove if your setup is correct.

First of all you should check if the paths in the global configuration in the admin panel are okay. There are 3 paths:
 1. WWW Root: here you should enter the correct URL to your forum (ex: http://www.host.org/fudforum/482749294)
 2. WWW Root: here you should enter the correct diskpath to the forum on your web server (ex: /srv/www/htdocs/fudforum/482749294)
 3. Data Root: here you shold enter a path outside your web server root where all internal data is stored - it must exist and must be read/write for the webserver (ex: /egroupware/fudforum/482749294)

And to get real sure that every path is correct you should check the eGroupWare installation. Therefore you have to go to the URL of you groupware, but append an /setup/ to it. Than login as Header-Admin and check all paths there. (ex: http://www.host.org/setup/ if http://www.host.org is your groupware)

Is it normal ? Can the problem come from there ?

What sessionmanagement do you use? I use that from php. Don't think that's the problem.

Did you encounter other problems in connection with FUDcode?

I use PHP4 session management.

With a new fresh install and default settings in an other directory, i have the same result. The link appears good at the screen: http://www.google.com but the link goes to http://myhost.be/egroupware/fudforum/3814588639/http&?sessionid=1e35c84 3270c9dcb95040772767066f6#58;//www.google.com

No problem noticed with FUDcode (except the edit of underlined text but it's not me and already reported at sourceforge). The upload works fine too.

Very strange...

Very strange thing. I installed it 3 times and didn't encounter this error. There were other errors (see my last posts here) but yours I wasn't able to reply. Very very strange...

http://www.google.com -> http://www.google.com OK

Very confusing!

http://www.google.de
http://www.google.de
http://www.google.de

And everytime I get the correct link to google. I would say: every piece of software has it's own AI Laughing

Very Happy you're right. But i don't really know how i can fix this.
The problem seems definitely associated with the URL FUDcode, I have tested a lot of other functions of this great forum and all's working.

But I don't give up.

I very much doubt the problem being in forum's fudcode parser. This parser is identical the one used by this forum and the problem (at least for me) is not replicatable either here or on my dev egw install.

I see the problem, you need to disable sessions trans_sid ini option.

This tip should be included in the egroupware documentation.

I'm very glad to see I am not the only one with this problem. However, I have no idea what setting you are talking about. I checked all the fudforum settings in eGroupware, but didn't see anything about sessions.

Is this a php or egroupware option? is it in a source file, or is there a user interface to change this?

Is this something my webhost admin has to turn off? (Re: http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.session.php#ini.session.use-trans-sid )

Thans for your help!

This setting is a PHP setting, generally you can turn it off via .htaccess
