I had to set up this board for someone who uses a few newsgroups which get spammed pretty much and he complains about having to delete it. Well, he needs something to do too, but still... Very Happy

Personally, I'm using DSPAM for my mail and it runs pretty fine so far with a well-trained db. Perhaps it would be a neat option to pipe all (newsgroup) posts through it and store the short signature it generates in the database. When you delete a message, this sig can be forwarded to DSPAM to train it. Obvious spam can be dropped that way before adding it to the db.

FUDforum is not a spam protection tool, if you want to stop spam use a tool for that purpose. I have no itention to add any spam protection tools to mail/nntp import.
