Thanks for your responses on other issues I've been having as I go through initial set up. Our forum is starting to take shape!
Here's another question. I don't see an option to set a topic to sticky. I saw a response to making sticky in another thread, and it said to make to the first message in the thread sticky - but, I just don't see any options at all.
It appears that admin is set to allow sticky. Do moderators automagically have this privilege or does it need to be set?
Please be specific as to what I need to set and where. Using 2.6.6.

Moderators, Admins and users granted the ability to create sticky/announcement topics will see the controls necessary to create such topics when writing new topics.

to make an existing topic sticky you need to edit the topic starter message (1st message in the topic).
