When I try to install FUDForum I can get through 4 of the 5 steps whereupon Apache promptly GPFs. I looked at the Apache error logs and they don't report any error, or anything out of the ordinary. Any help would be appreciated.
My Setup:
>Windows XP Pro (SP2)
>Apache 2.0.52 (Win32)
>PHP 5.0.2 (Installed as ISAPI module)
>MySQL 4.1
UPDATE:
I tried the no zlib compression version of the installer and it fails just as miserably as the other version.

The bug in PHP 5.0.2 and lower will affect you even if you work without the installer. The crash is occuring inside the template compiler, that is needed for normal forum operation.

The mysql extension you got is VERY old, I check the API no you gave with PHP cvs and it seems it is from a pre-5.0 release. You need to make sure you do not have any legacy php dlls anywhere on the system.
