Hi .

I need help in FUDforum 2.6.9 installation. I am running fedora core 3, Apache 2 and MySQL

I have untar (FUDforum_2-6-9.tar.gz), copied the install.php and put it in a web browseable directory and then chmod to 777. As I access the install.php page in the brower...I get "You need to chmod the XXX/XX/install.php file 666 (-rw-rw-rw), so the installer......." message. I also changed the permission of install.php to 666 and get the same message.

I am a newbie in setting up linux, so I might miss out some config before install Fudforum. Please help.

Thanks

The only thing you needed to do was:

Chmod the directory where you've placed install.php 777 and then chmod the install.php file itself 666.
