I've got HTML OFF on my forums (actually its called None).

When hitting 'quote' on a message it inserts 'br' tags and such
instead of the original text. Shouldn't quote just preface each line with a '>' symbol? If not, how can I get this to work.

I cannot test here because fud code is on.

This is 2.6.9

Thanks for the quick fix. I've applied the patch and the fix works.

Can I ask a really stupid question. What is the proper method to get and apply a patch? In this case I 'pasted' each patch info text into a txt file and ran the patch. Should I be using some other method or is there a link to download it without concern that a cut/paste messes something up?

Thanks again.

You can either apply the patch using the standard 'patch' utility. Or you can download new version of the affected file(s) and upload them to your server via forum's file manager.
Once that is done rebuild theme (this step is needed regardless of how you apply the patch).
